A garbage quality endgame appeared on the board to put it mildly although, it is quite acceptable according to the rules of checkers composition of the former USSR..

A. Balaniuk (Odessa region) : " Glory to Labor", Moldova, August 25, 1990 г.

In terms of the balance of power between the parties, this is not a composition, but rather a task for beginner solvers.
Moreover, the white checker h2 does not participate in the combination and can be removed by improving the content of the indicated unsuccessful miniature.

A. Maluta :""Shashki"-10-1974 , The book "Odessa school of draughts composition", No. 70, p. 32

b9, fe5, gf4 (e5), b:g3, a3 x
Simple second solution : 2.fe3 3.fg5 4.bg3 5.a3 x

vd2, g5, cd4, bd2, c7, a:g7 x
The white d2 checker is not needed in the finale, which means that this composition is a defect product.
Moreover, this unfinished work has a close predecessor.
I. and Yu. Begaevs.

The book by A. Maliuts :"Odessa school of draughts composition", 2012 , No. 53 , p. 31
Author is Balanyuk A. G. (Moldova, Koikovo village), 2nd USSR Championship by Ttrade unions on composition of checkers , 1989
There is a draw after the move 5...ab4 ! instead of 5...cg5 ??
6.c:a3 cf4! 7.ad4 fh2! 8.ab6 ( 8.ab4 hd6=) hg1 9.dc5 gh2 =
The move 7.d8-f6 also wins, due to a hopeless endgame for Blacks.
